Healthy Meals Made For You

By Laura Moncur @ 5:00 am — Filed under:

I once told a friend that I had a personal chef.

“You do?” they responded.

“Yes, I have many in the restaurants all over town,” was my answer.

The only problem with that plan is that restaurant food isn’t always healthy or even freshly prepared. Here are a couple of options. If you wish you had a personal chef, there are companies out there that are willing to create healthy and delicious food for you. They’ll probably even help you with portion control.

Now, I am on both sides of this argument. The first is: Yeah! There are companies out there who will make healthy food for me to have every evening!

The other side is: Geez! You can’t even cook for yourself?! If you paid more attention to what you put in your mouth, maybe you wouldn’t be so fat.

That other side is the destructive side of myself. It’s the mean part of myself that berates me until I end up bingeing. If you heard that voice within yourself, sit down with a piece of paper and write it out. What do you need to do to be healthy? If it means paying a company to make you dinner, then it just might be worth it.

I made food at one of those food in 2 hours places this summer. It was awesome. Each meal ended up costing me about 3.14. (Maybe less because the servings were big.)

They had the ingrediants set out and chopped up. I could put in as much or as little of the ingredients as I wanted except for the protein which was pre-measured. There were no preservatives and even though it was quick and easy, I still felt like I made the food. (Like a master chef with a su chef.)

I made 12 different dishes in 3 hours. Counting grocery shopping, it would have taken me that long to make even one of the recipes.

I liked all the food alot, especially the crab cakes and the chicken stuffed manicotti.

I have also used Dream Dinners. I use them every month. They are awesome. The food is great & even my picky kids will eat almost everything. I don’t know what I would do with out the help Dream Dinners gives. The dinners are healthy, being on Weight Watcher the nutritional information they give you helps you easily figure they fit right into a WW program & my whole family is eating healthier and they don’t even know it. Another great thing is the price. For the cost of a Happy Meal, my family can eat steak dinners! Wow, is all I can say. Luv ya Dream Dinners

If you choose to have someone make your meals for you or do a dream dinner type thing it doesn’t mean you are a bad person. Some people can’t afforded personal chefs and you can lose weight with or without them.
