Thinking of Using DDR to Lose Weight?
If you have been considering buying Dance Dance Revolution to lose weight, but don’t know where to start, DDR4Health has published a concise and informed article about it.
From space considerations to pad and game selection, this article covers all the issues. The only thing that I would add is that there is a version of DDR for the PC. It’s not as hard to get it working with your computer as he would make it sound, but the game is difficult to find.

Getting the game working is not hard, but purchasing a stable PS2 -> USB or PS2 -> LPT adapter, getting it installed properly, putting the converter in DDR mode (if necessary), and then getting your computer next to a TV (if you have a small monitor) were all factors that kept me from recommending that option for people just getting started.

Have you looked into Yourself Fitess for XBox? I’ve found it’s a BLAST for mixing up a regular fitness program; it even takes advantage of any ‘toys’ you already have (free weights, yoga ball, step bench, heartrate measurer). I really like it for forcing some cardio into my day, and it’s flexible about how much time I can commit.
