Super Slim Me: Part One
The BBC has created this BRILLIANT documentary called Super Slim Me. Dawn Porter is a healthy reporter who never had to diet in her life. She looks gorgeous at the beginning of the documentary, hires a team of doctors and nutritionists and embarks on the goal of getting to Size Zero.
She starts with a beautiful 33 inch waist and a VERY healthy BMI of 22. Here is part one:
She sets up a dietary regime with her nutritionist of 500 calories a day. All she eats during the day would look like this:
This is NOT a healthy diet and she knows it. That’s why she has a team of doctors monitoring her progress during this experiment.
Tune in next week to see Part two of the BBC’s Super Slim Me.

I REALLY like your site + I’ve even purchased your journal, but I don’t think it’s very smart to include this on your site. Trying to get down to a size zero, by eating only 500 calories a day is just asking for an eating disorder. Been there, done that.

Karen,
That is the whole theme of the show. Once you see all six parts of it, you’ll see how negative the idea of getting down to a size zero is portrayed.
Thanks for reading so often and commenting!
Best,
Laura

Oh, thanks for clarifying. I was wondering what the point was. Still–does it set an unhealthy model when it shows that it IS possible to get down to an unhealthy weight by doing horrible things like this?

I finally got around and found the time to start part one. Wow! I think it is ironic that she says she wants to find a “healthy way” to drop all the weight! Ha! There is NO healthy way!
Time to watch part ii. I was expecting the guy she is shopping with to discourage her, but he is giving her advice
