The Weight Loss Cure They Don’t Want You to Know About
Conspiracy theories don’t sit well with me. I’m already paranoid. I don’t want more paranoia swimming around in my head. So when Kevin Trudeau released The Weight Loss Cure They Don’t Want You to Know About, he already had one strike against him in my book.
It seems that Diet Scam Watch is also skeptical of Kevin Trudeau’s conspiracy theories:
The book claims that “an absolute cure for obesity was discovered almost fifty years ago” but was “suppressed” by the AMA, the FDA, and “other medical establishments throughout the world.” He further claims that until now, “this miracle weight loss breakthrough has been hidden from the public so that drug companies can make billions of dollars selling their expensive drug treatments and surgical procedures for obesity.” Trudeau’s alleged cure consists of injections of human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) plus 50 to 60 required and recommended do’s and don’ts. HCG is a hormone found in the urine of pregnant women.
HCG has been touted as a weight loss aid for a while.
More than 50 years ago, Dr. Albert T. Simeons, a British-born physician, contended that HCG injections would enable dieters to subsist comfortably on a 500-calorie-a-day diet. He claimed that HCG would mobilize stored fat; suppress appetite; and redistribute fat from the waist, hips, and thighs. However, scientific studies demonstrated that the injections didn’t cause weight loss and regulatory actions by the FTC and FDA have curbed their use in the United States.
It seems that Trudeau didn’t get the memo from the FDA. Since 1975, they have required the following labeling on the product:
HCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the treatment of obesity. There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or “normal” distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.
Of course, if you’re truly paranoid, you believe that the FDA and all of those doctors behind the studies are in on the suppression of HCG.
Don’t let your paranoia get the best of you. The reason why everyone in Hollywood is thin is because they kick out the fat ones. They don’t have a secret cure to obesity, they just don’t put fat people on the screen. Injecting the urine of pregnant women into your body is not the answer.

“this miracle weight loss breakthrough has been hidden from the public so that drug companies can make billions of dollars selling their expensive drug treatments and surgical procedures for obesity.”
Right. Give me your money instead so that I can make billions of dollars selling my expensive drug treatment for obesity.

I found an article about him on a gov site Kevin Trudeau Banned from Infomercials Trudeau Settles Claims in Connection with Coral Calcium Supreme and Biotape http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2004/09/trudeaucoral.shtm
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:44 pm
Ibought his book and was dissapointed to. He doesn’t give you the formula. He tells you to log on to his website. In order to log onto his website you have to pay around $20 a month to access it. It is no better than a lot of the free weight loss web sites.
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:48 pm
Personally I think he is a fool for wasting all his money filing law suits against the government. The FDA is doing the best the can given the laws they have to operate under. He should use his millions to really help obese people lose weight or unhealthy people get in shape. That would make a lot more sense and do America more justice.
August 4th, 2007 at 2:47 am
If you’re even considering taking something like this seriously, it’s worth reading a bit about Kevin Trudeau first…
August 4th, 2007 at 5:55 pm
I was channel surfing this afternoon and saw a show titled “Sculpt Your Body”. Well, it was an infomercial of THIS guy selling THIS book. I listened for a while and I was thoroughly insulted.
He mentioned the hypothalamus gland then paused to look at the camera and say “Don’t be concerned with these big words, this works!”
What a sham.
August 13th, 2007 at 7:12 am
I felt the purchase of this book was also a waste of time. While I did agree with some of what he had to say, the book was not about what he advertised it to be. Very disappointed.
August 20th, 2007 at 4:28 am
Got sick from getting HCG and almost died. I currently have a lawsuit against this jack*ss and it’s only to recover my medical expenses and to stop this crook.
August 22nd, 2007 at 9:58 am
oh man, i can’t believe I ordered this book. Thank the lord I haven’t received it and will be writing “refused: return to sender” as soon as it arrives!!!! I should have listened to my conscience saying, if this “cure” was really true, it would be all over the news!
August 23rd, 2007 at 12:13 pm
I saw his infomercial today and was real excited, untill I looked his book up on google. I guess the old saying is true…if it sounds to good to be true, it’s probably not
August 23rd, 2007 at 7:30 pm
I made the mistake of buying this book after watching his infomericial on August 13th. I refused everything they tried to sell me, but did ask for rush shipment. It is the 23rd of August and I still have not received this book. My credit card was dinged on the 17th for 34.95…not 24.90 as I had thought. After reading what Kevin’s protocol is and not getting the book in 3-5 business days, I will send the book back if it ever arrives. I should have known it was too good to be true.
August 26th, 2007 at 10:47 pm
Hello, I almost ordered this book yesterday when I saw the commercial on tv. thank goodness this webisite was here and i didn’t order this ridiculous book. I am crazy we all know the only way to lose weight is diet and exercise, (or surgery I guess).
August 27th, 2007 at 5:47 pm
wow this commercial really caught my eye. and i was really interested in seeing what the “cure” was..but after seeing these reviews i knew it was too good to be true
August 28th, 2007 at 5:48 pm
This must work for some people. A guy I know in nursing school lost 45 lbs over the summer with this. He just told me to buy the book. That is what brought me here.
August 29th, 2007 at 7:31 pm
I am a male to female transsexual, and when i heard what he was saying about the hypothalamous i almost laughed to death. That is what is beleived to be the cause of transsexualism, only thing is they cant tell because the only way to test it is post mortem, so how did this doctor figure out it was a switch to turn off fat almost 50 years ago!!!!
August 31st, 2007 at 3:58 pm
i was another crazy person who ordered this book…paid extra for rush delivery and haven’t receieved it yet… gosh since i’ve knew what a fraud this guy is..i am trying the customer service number to cancel this service….but no response…they put me on hold for like an hour…and no one ever replied….
September 1st, 2007 at 11:33 pm
this is a scam i have to diet all the time for tournaments and have ben diognosed with the same glands that this book talkes about. bottom line eat right, lift or exersize. cut cravings with an over the counter supplement
September 3rd, 2007 at 5:18 am
i teach a weight mgmt course using low glycemic index and i also sell supplements to speed the process, but you can lose weight without them–it just takes longer, but months, not years. the bottom line is the muscle dictates metabolism and if you don’t exercise you’ll never lose the fat or increase your metabolism. he cites the arobic instructor with flabby arms. arobics are no intended to create muscle, so he’s comparing apple to oranges. i was tempted to buy it just to see what he writes, but now i know the “miracle” isn’t even in the book. isn’t the internet an incredible tool?
September 3rd, 2007 at 5:19 am
there a million reasons people retain their weight, many of which have nothing to do with food. i also coach people using EFT to them get through their issues.
September 4th, 2007 at 9:25 am
Thank you for this site. I saw the informercial for the first time this weekend. I knew it sounded too good to be true so I’m glad that there is somewhere to confirm my beliefs and prevent me from wasting my time and money.
September 4th, 2007 at 12:09 pm
Gosh I wish I had checked this before blindly ordering this book on 8/31/07. I am currently holding to cancel the order. I hope I don’t have to wait too long, but it’s my punishment, I suppose. Thanks all!
September 4th, 2007 at 12:59 pm
Obviously just another let down for people seriously trying to lose weight, like me. I went to Wal-Mart last week trying to find this book. They were out, thank goodness! Guess it’s back to lettuce and grilled chicken!!
September 6th, 2007 at 6:27 am
I’am 25 and not obese but I thought maybe this would be my godsend. I too tried to find the book at walmart, I also thought well if it’s not at wal mart then I can go online and buy it. But now I know it’s too good to be true. Thank You all for being honest and admitting you made a mistake because I guess others can learn from your mistakes al long as you share them. Conspiresy my butt.
September 9th, 2007 at 2:03 am
I feel bad for anyone who may have been won over by this, Kevin Trudeau. He seems to address the very issues that all of us who struggle with weight loss deal with. I would’ve be fooled myself if I hadn’t seen him on another infomercial plugging some other book or product. If you still have further questions, google his name and you will find that nearly ALL the first hits are warnings. He has a criminal history and several pending legal issues. Always do your research before buying anything from an infomercial.
September 10th, 2007 at 2:16 am
Wow. Has anyone actually received the book? I too ordered it and shipped it rushed over 10 days ago but, nothing… Fortunately, I did not listen all way through the other BS offers on the phone order. Hopefully my order wasn’t processed at all. I have always struggled with weight. Five years ago I lost over 150 lbs with the help of effedrin, exercise and diet. Had cosmetic surgery to fix what the weight gain/loss had done to my body. With a very stubborn 30+lbs to re-lose, I know now this book is a joke. Back to the effedrin I go…
September 10th, 2007 at 7:44 am
Hi yesterday I ordered this book and already punished myself. when I called they tried sell me a lot of things ,so I refused all thank god .when the girl heard my accent ,I was very confused because my english is not too good .Next time I,ll make sure go to the google first and search about anything I;m buying, thank you everybody.
September 10th, 2007 at 9:22 am
I too was apparently fooled.I ordered this book on 22nd august 2007 and to date, nothing.I have e mailed them 7 times. No answer. I telephoned them only to be placed on hold over and over again i tried tracking the order but there is no link to do so on the site. The thing is i am in Trinidad West Indies, so you could guess my phone bill, and they have already billed my credit card. i want my money back
September 14th, 2007 at 12:09 pm
My wife and I were watching and laughing all they way through the infomercial. His definition of metabolism makes me wonder if he even knows what metabolism is. The only way your body will burn fat quicker at rest is when you increase the amount of muscle your body has. One will do better by taking an NO2 supplement(Nitric Oxide)combined with proper nutrition and exercise. Remember that “after everything has been said and done, there will be a lot more said than done.”
September 14th, 2007 at 12:35 pm
Thank you so much for this sight… i almost orded today…but i read all your comments and decided not to…it surely was somthing too good to be true… thanks~~God bless.
September 14th, 2007 at 7:39 pm
I knew Kevin T years ago when he was involved in a network marketing company. He had all the answers then too. The only positive thing I can say about him is, he does know how to make money, for himself!
September 15th, 2007 at 1:13 pm
I am another person that thought this might have an answer to weight loss. Wishful thinking, I guess! Anyway, we ordered the book on 8/17 and I still have not received it. (Funny how they do debit your account right away, though.) I have also been debited 9.95 for something else now, that I don’t even know what it is. Has anyone gotten their money back, ever? I can’t get an answer on the customer service line… surprise, surprise! Feeling stupid.
September 16th, 2007 at 12:53 pm
i was watching this informercial on tv, and i really am a guy that wants to lose weight. so i was watching this show, and i believed everything that jacka** was saying!! i put it on hold from my library..which is a smart thing to do instead of buying the book..after i put the book on hold, i went to google and found this site. i
thinkKNOW this whole thing is a SCAM! thnk u gyz so much!September 17th, 2007 at 6:33 am
I’m so happy I found this site. Throughout the infomercial, I thought this is too good to be true, but I guess they prey on our obsession with losing the weight quickly. But in the back of my mind I said, the pharmaceutical companies would make a killing if there was actually a cure that they could market! I’m glad I didn’t pick up the phone to buy it… ha ha ha! What an idiot that guy is! By the way, to all those who purchased it and have not received it, cancel the order with your credit card company and they should refund your money since they breached their contract by not delivering the product at the specified time.
September 18th, 2007 at 5:30 pm
Yea to D. Hasan! I also decided to check this out for free from the library (was also on a waiting list)and I’m glad I did. Will NOT be buying this book. He goes on and on and on about the FDA and conspiracies with food companies instead of what you want the book for which is the ruddy diet. Could have been a pamplet instead of a book. Who knows if it even works because it sounds as though most people can’t do it or can’t afford it.
September 19th, 2007 at 9:46 am
It amazes me that so many intellectual people actually fall for this stuff (me included). I cannot tell you how many products, creams, etc., I’ve purchased over the years in order to stay attractive and fit. Almost 30 years ago I was in my late teens and had gained about 15 pounds. I went to a clinic where I received daily injections of HCG. They put me on a 500 calorie diet. I lost the weight in 3 weeks. I GUESS SO! I was starving! Thank God for these comments. I almost fell for it again.
September 20th, 2007 at 12:20 am
For all of you who have paid for this product and have not received it…
Tell your bank that you need to do a “charge back.” They should have a form for you to fill out, listing the reason why the credit card charges should be reversed.
I have done this in the past and it was simple and fast; I received my money back, within days.
September 21st, 2007 at 12:16 am
so, I googled this book and all after i saw the infomercial cuz i knew it was better than it was, but what is this HcG? My boyfriend is really overweight and, yes a lot of it is his fault (stress, overeating, not excercising) but a lot of it is in his genetics also. Should we talk to a doctor about the HcG? does it help? is it safe? is it legal?
September 25th, 2007 at 4:05 am
wow, i almost bought the book at hastings, but after reading all this…i am in shock!!!
Has ANYONE received the book after they ordered it? or even gotten ahold of someone? Isnt there a way you can sue him from stealing your money?
September 26th, 2007 at 8:44 am
I have a degree in health science. I have no clue if there is anything solidly reliable about this. It does not seem so. I need to lose 30 pounds, but do not want to commit myself to anything bogus.
Can anybody offer opinions?
September 26th, 2007 at 10:17 am
I am glad I came to this site before ordering the “diet” lies… It is a darn shame that he preys on people who are honestly lookiong for an easier way to lose weight (because we ALL know it is not easy).
September 26th, 2007 at 10:24 am
PS: I used to be a paying member of his Natural Cures web site… I had to call them 3 different times, the first two times I had to wait so long that I hung up. So I went to the web site and cancelled through them, but still… it said to complete the cancellation of this subscription you must call that same number. So I called right then and there, after holding for nearly 45 minutes, an operator answered, asked me what I was calling for and replied “our computers are down, I will need to take down your number and call you back in an hour or so. After giving them 3 more days to return my call (they never did) I made sure that I had severl hours (if need be) to sit on hold to finish my cancellation. So I dialed the number, put the phone on speaker and set it down in front of me and ironed my clothes for an hour and a half, then went to my room (with the phone still on speaker) and started cleaning out my closet. It took nearly 2 hours for them to answer my call and it took them all of 1 minute to finalize the subscription. What a waste of time and money. Make sure not to do that, please learn from my mistake 🙂
September 26th, 2007 at 9:01 pm
Like most out there that is trying to loss weight, I’m always looking for something new to help me along the way. Saw this Kevin on tv last night and thank god I was to tired to call in to order this book. After reading these reviews, I will stick to my eating right, and working out 5 days a week. It takes time but it’s worth it. By the way check out Dr. Ian Smith fat smash book it is a good book and works,he teaches you how to eat the right way.
September 28th, 2007 at 9:21 pm
All I can say is thanks everyone.
September 30th, 2007 at 1:04 am
I too just watched his infomercial. I was excited, like many of you and was really about to order the book but I always do google searches to see if I can find “the cure” outlined but instead I came across this site, THANK GOD for all of your feed back and pre-cautions. I’ve been “living healthy” since April and have lost weight through exercise, weight training and eating clean. Get Tosca Reno’s “Eat Clean Book, by Robert Kennedy Publishing or if you subscribe to Oxygen, you can see it in there. Thanks again…all of you.
September 30th, 2007 at 8:02 am
well i got this book just a few days ago and ive been reading it and well i didnt have to go on his website and i still got what i have to do to lose weight and then when i tried the technicques i lost about 20 pounds in 30 days so it works
October 1st, 2007 at 10:33 pm
To me it sounds like everyone is jumping on this negative band wagon and thanking whom ever for not ordering it themselves AND havent even read or given it a try. It takes one person to write a negative comment for it to take such a ripple affect. Try it for yourself and stop believing everything you hear or read. Michael’s right IT WORKS!!!!!!
October 2nd, 2007 at 8:50 am
I agree that messing around with hormones produced in the urine of pregnant women (hCG) is risky and possibly harmful; not a good idea. However, I have been following many of the other steps in his protocol, which are actually great in my opinion. It is a good idea to eat organic foods, stop drinking diet or non-diet carbonated drinks, to supplement with calcium and B-vitamins, and cinnammin (which supports sugar metabolism). Hydrocolonics do boost energy levels, and help people loose weight because they restore normal colonic function. The most important parts in his protocol that have helped me loose 6 pounds so far is the apple vinegar supplementation (totally natural and gentile), walking one hour a day, avoiding fast foods and farmed fish, and eating lots of organic apples and grapefruits. Additionally, I didn’t have to purchase his book. I read it in the book isle at Wal-Mart for free!!!! Ha ha ha ha ha!
October 2nd, 2007 at 8:44 pm
Hi Vicky,
I was quite interested in your response. How long have you been using the advice and what would you say is the most important ingredient/procedure? Colonics? Are they painful? Thanks for your feedback
October 7th, 2007 at 9:00 pm
ok I saw the infomercial as well and thought Finally – something easy and not harmful etc. UMMMMM ya – well for one I live in Canada and the info that he gave that day on tv said you can get everything at the Health Food store, low cost. Not true. I have read the book and they do offer good things for cleansing etc however you don’t need the book for that. There is a line in there when you finally find the “cure” that says you have to use a licensed practicioner… Where do you even get the stuff if you want to try it? Does anyone know if a natural path can get this hCG?
October 17th, 2007 at 9:39 pm
For all of you who really want/need to lose weight. I lost 35 pounds in 30 days five years ago and have kept it off. I read a lot of books and just applied the stuff from each that sounded like common sense to me. The main things I did was: Instead of coffee for breakfast every morning I had a Myoplex Protein drink. I never eat proteins and starches together. I eat proteins and vegetables or starches and vegetables. (This seemed to be the main thing cause as soon as I started eating like this I swear I could feel the fat melting). I quit eating all bread which I love.. And I used butter sparingly and use only I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. I now use the Mediterranean Blend. And when I did eat fried foods I cooked them in EVOO – That’s extra virgin olive oil. I swear that’s all I had to do. Oh, and when I started craving chicken fried steaks with mashed potatoes and gravy; I ate it! But only once every 10 days or so. The rest of the time I ate chicken and veggies or pasta and veggies. And I always ate a huge salad before each meal. I also take Liquid Centrum as a supplement. None of the food I ate was organic…who can afford organic? I didn’t spend any extra money I just bought fresh fruit and veggies instead of canned veggies. And I always ate at home!! You never know how your food is really cooked at restaurants. One of the best books to read is Marilu Henner’s ‘Total Health Makeover’ and by the way…I didn’t exercise any more than I normally do. Hope this helps some of you.
October 23rd, 2007 at 6:00 pm
Ordered the book on Sat. Tried to cancel the order on Monday morning. They refused, told me to call back on Tues AM as the order was not yet in their computers! hogwash! I got a computer statement from them concerning the order. They said they cannot cancel the order. Will refuse the book when it come; but have my doubts that I will be reimbursed for the cost of the book.
Don’t buy the book! mar
November 5th, 2007 at 5:43 pm
This is amazing, I read through this whole site and all I see is everybody getting ripped off, never got the book..ect.ect…To me what everbody is saying is this book is a fraud. I have a beautiful lady friend that is over weight. I want to help her and I thought maybe this book could help her. It sure don’t sound like it will help huh? This guy may have ripped you off, but you bit. Now ask yourself why you bit? Let me answer that for you. You can’t do it on your own…Diets don’t work, sure they will help you take it off, but they don’t keep it off. It’s all up to you. I was 265 pounds. I put it in my mind that I’m done!! I didn’t go on diets, I didn’t exercise. I got down to 175 pounds within a year. There is no secret, there is no diet, you have the power in your brain if you want to lose weight, but these companies with their diet programs and this Kevin will keep feeding off of you and taking control of your money until you take control of yourself….So quit your whining and take care of yourself instead of waiting for a book to take care of you. Instead of reading all the negative things on this site, read what deedee says on #50…She said “COMMON SENSE” Oh by the way, I bet your wondering how I lost all that weight in a year. Stay tuned, I’ll put my book out soon so I can be a millionaire. The thing is I don’t have to put out a book. It’s all in this message, find it if you can, if you can’t them keep ordering them bogus books and diet plans…Love you all, Good luck.

I would like to make a comment or two about Kevin Trudeau. About 3 years ago around my 45th birthday. I was overweight starting to get the symptoms of a whole host of problems. Now I am not to sure where I saw his first book “Natural Cures” and was very skeptical. I put off buying the book, but discussed it with friends and family. Then in Christmas of that year, a friend bought it for me as a gift. I started reading it and was amazed and disappointed with it at the same time. It had some fantastic stories and information, but was very bloated. So I “skimmed read” the book. I then went out and started to research some of the statements he had made and started to implement some of the “Natural Cures” like flushes, organics(organics are expensive, so do a lot of research), exercise and so forth. WHAT A DIFFERENCE !!. Obviously he is out to make money, who is not. So yes, you are going to find bloated information in all of his books, you are going to find all sorts of experts damming him. But let me tell you one thing, he has a lot of good information and if you are a skeptic like myself, go out and do some research for your self, based on his information and you will be pleasantly surprised. One word of warning, there are bigger scam artists than Kevin Trudeau out there, beware. More good reading about health and fitness that helped as well, do some research on “Andreas Moritz”. Good health to yourselves and may you lose all the weight you desire:-)
November 14th, 2007 at 10:32 pm
Hi, I do not know if his book works or not, but there are other sites that have a lot of positive things to say about it. I have yet to hear from one person who has actually tried it and not lost weight. Don’t knock the method, knock how he presented it on t.v.. He did make it sound super easy. From what others are saying this is not true. All I am saying is this. If you haven’t tried the plan in the book, you can’t say it doesn’t work, you can say he is a jerk for making it sound easier than it actually is.
November 15th, 2007 at 3:36 am
I work in the credit and debit card industry. I see a lot of comments that accounts were debited but materials were not received. Don’t know about the ‘can I sue this guy? question?’, but a merchant is not allowed to hit your account until the day they ship your merchandise. If your account has been hit and it’s been more than 10 business days, call your institution and file a claim that states “My account was debited on 10/15/07 (or whatever is verifiable) and my merchandise was not recieved.” You will also have to describe how to tried to contact the merchant to resolve, [sounds like that statement will be I called on Thursday the 15th and was on hold for an hour . . .] but you will either get the crazy book or your money back. The merchant will be required to show proof of delivery. Worse case scenario you can use the book to kindle a nice fire for the winter.
November 25th, 2007 at 9:48 pm
I have not ever been a fan of Trudeau, although I have a friend who absolutely adores what he has written. However I did end up getting the book (sharing the cost of the book with my dad). I have to say one thing that he told me (my dad), if you think some of the processes are costly in his book, think about the cost of diet products and diets that didn’t end up working. He’s willing to give this program a try. And I must say that he must think it’s pretty good since he’s not one for diets and such. Yes, Trudeau did give a false advertisement in the way that he presented his weight loss cure book, but the fact is that how will we know if it works unless we try it? He does say that we need to be doctor supervised during this program. I can’t stand Trudeau myself, but I’ve taken the time to do some research on this program and am going to give it a try.
January 12th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
I ordered the book from Amazon and got it immediately. A family member followed the program and it worked. If any of you read his book, you would know that he mentions all of the ridicule he has received. However, the book was very repetitive. I agree that it could have been summed up in one chapter.
January 16th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
I’m just writing to say that my spouse and I have been on the hcg/B-12 shots since last July 1 and I have personally lost 49 lbs. Oh, and I have done it eating 1200 calories a day. Yes, this does work whatever you may think about Kevin Trudeau. My naturalpath doctor advises us each week at weigh-ins. Give someone the benefit of the doubt if you haven’t read his book, don’ spend the money, go to the library. You can get Dr. Simeons diet on-line, just follow it with the shots and the weight will come off. Thanks for listening(reading)
January 17th, 2008 at 6:10 am
If you ate 1200 calories a day WITHOUT the HCG/B-12 shots, you would have still lost weight.
February 12th, 2008 at 10:52 pm
This book has helped me lose over 15 pounds and I’ve only had it 9 days. It is true that some methods to help lose weight are expensive, however you can still LOSE weight by doing the inexpensive things. You can still learn impotant things about health and its just good knowledge to have. I bet all those complaining about not losing weight gave up or tried to do every single thing the book suggested instead of doing what they could at the time. So what the methods are expensive, but ask yourself this “How expensive is chemotherapy, heart and bone marrow transplants, and other EXPENSIVE medical treatments?” You will pay one way or another. BUY THE BOOK FOR YOURSELF!!!!!

I never heard of Kevin Trudeau before this article here, but I had heard of Dr. Simeon’s research. A friend of mine researched this study and found a physician willing to give her the HCG injections. She started it about 8 months ago, and has lost about 80 lbs. Sure, she has certain diet restrictions for certain periods of time, then can eat normally for others. I see the results of this program, that’s enough proof for me!!! Don’t buy the book, you can find Dr. Simeons research online.

I did not read K. Trudeau’s book, but have followed Dr. Simeon’s plan instead using subcutaneous injections of HCG. I started July 5, 2008 and I have lost 27.8 pounds and over nine inches off my waist. I feel very good and I am sleeping better than I have in years. I am 52 years old and have been trying to lose the weight I gained through two pregnancies and switching to a more sedentary job years ago. I am finally realizing that I am going to do it this time. Trudeau may be a bit of a scam artist, but he did bring back attention to Dr. Simeon’s work with HCG and for that I am eternally grateful to him. I feel younger and healthier than I have in years and it will be well worth any money I have invested into this program, which really has been cheaper than some I have tried. As for the FDA…when has our government totally been honest with any of us? I have worked in the medical field for many years and the FDA is far from infallible, which goes the same for the “mainstream medical community”…they make far more money on you being obese than they would in curing obesity….medicine has become a business and the sooner people realize this the better off they will be.

This guy is a total quack. I browsed through his book in a book store to see what all the fuss was about and put it back about 5 minutes into reading it. It’s nonsense. This guy is trying to make money, end of story.

i don’t get it works I DID NOT get the book alot of info on-line is free, paid 75 bucks for hcg, in 22 days I’ve lost 20 lbs= I feel energy, one day I hadn’t eatin anything for about 6 hrs got a little light -headed , then ate a little and drank some tea, and I was fine= that’s the worst in 22 days .People that have lost help me out with protocol, where to get needles cheap, vials for 0.50 a peice ,mixing needles for.55 a piece , got a hundred needles for 9.50 only need 45 for whole deal ,haven’t spent over 110.00 bucks yet,by the way my blood pressure came down 40 pts =no drugs, no side effects. SO call it what you will this diet works, first time I lost more than 7 lbs. exercising/starving/ small qty/sick in the stomach previous. With this I’m not hungary have energy, but you can’t cheat =eat every 2-3 hrs 100 calories, lots water, teas chamomile/herb/yerba , and you’ll find I wasted alot time cooking/dishes/eating/money/time eatin bad food, greasy, processed junk=had indigestion, acid reflux, bloated all thats gone
