Control Breeds Binges
I has been a hard week and it only just started. Last week was just fine, but this week I have had problems every day. What did I try to do? I tried to limit my intake:
I reduced it by 100 calories a day. That’s it. Just a 100 calories a day. That’s like… an apple. Less than an apple…
Okay, a little more than an apple, but still it’s just a small, small, small amount. It’s like two Hershey’s kisses. A tiny, tiny amount.
Learning to eat healthy is still an adventure for me. Wish me luck!

Wow! This sounds exactly how I’m feeling! I actually end up not eating ENOUGH… it’s the exact same thing – when I don’t try to control my choices, I make healthy choices! When I try to control, then I eat way too much, or not the best foods… Just thought I’d share that you have company in this! (0:

Thank you so much for posting the video of you talking, and for working to get over your fear of the camera, and telling us about it. The last few days I’ve been thinking about you every time I avoid glancing in the mirror, or ensure that I’m the photographer at the get-togethers so that I won’t be photographed. I don’t think I’m at the level of you in being able to love myself no matter how much I weigh, but you talking about it is helping me think about it.
I’ve been trying to keep a food journal but I’ve been absolutely miserable about it. I just resist so much being aware of how much I eat.

I had major problems with binging last week. I could be smaking myself.

When I feel the urge to binge I make myself run on an eliptical and burn the amount of calories I will be binging on. Say 500 calories(Thats about an hour on an eliptical) So I can earn a burger or whatever. This has worked well for me for a while. Just earn your snacks and you will break even or lose more than you planned since you will be more active.
